Should I restart my TV after installing the app?

Yes. Restart the TV once after installing Lumo TV. Customers who saw freezing or buffering on the first day found it gone after one restart.

On a TV

On a Fire TV: Settings, My Fire TV, Restart. Or hold the Select button (the middle of the ring) and Play/Pause together for five seconds. On an Android TV box: switch it off at the wall, wait ten seconds and switch it on again.

On a phone or tablet

Nothing to do on a phone or tablet. This is for TVs and TV boxes.

A Fire TV Stick has very little memory, and the download, the installer and every app opened earlier are still holding some of it when Lumo TV starts for the first time. A restart hands all of it back, so the app starts with the whole box to itself. Once is enough; you do not need to restart every day.

Updating the app is an install too, so a restart after a big update does no harm either. If the picture still freezes after a restart, here is what to try next.
